James Bond’s Aston Martin Vanquish to be Auctioned

Want to channel your inner agent 007 and own a Bond car? Your chance is coming up.

Current James Bond actor Daniel Craig will be auctioning his bespoke Aston Martin 2014 Centenary Edition Vanquish on April 20 at Christie’s in New York. The car, which was customised by Craig himself along with Aston Martin’s chief creative officer Marek Reichman, is ready to drive with a top speed of 183mph and standard 6.0-litre V12.

The car is one of only 100 examples released worldwide to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary.

The winning bidder will also have the opportunity to visit Aston Martin Headquarters in Warwickshire, England for a tour of the production facilities.

The car, which will be on display at Christie’s Los Angeles showroom from February 27 to March 3, is estimated to be sold at US$400,000-600,000. All proceeds will go to non-profit organisation The Opportunity Network, which provides young people with pathways to career development.

Craig will be reprising his role as James Bond one more time in the movie set to release in 2019.
