Lexus has revealed its plans to launch the brand’s first-ever sport yacht.
The Lexus Sport Yacht LY 650 will be 65 feet or 19.9 meter in length and feature the Japanese company’s signature L-finesse design scheme.
The company’s executive vice president Shigeki Tomoyama said with the expansion into the non-automotive, marine vessel venture, he wanted to “present a dream-like vision of the luxury lifestyle; one where the Lexus Yacht expands the potential of Lexus mobility to the ocean.”
The LY 650 is the brand’s fourth flagship model, following the LS sedan, LX SUV and LC coupe.
Boat builder Marquis-Larson Boat Group has been tapped to build, sell and service the vessel when it enters the production stage next year. LY 650 is expected to make its global debut in late 2019.
