Former Tiffany & Co. design director Francesca Amfitheatrof has joined Louis Vuitton as the artistic director of watches and jewelry, as the company looks to revitalise its jewellery line.
Amfitheatrof, a London Central Saint Martins graduate, will be in charge of creating new jewelry collections, as well as overseeing all Louis Vuitton watch designs.
“It is with great excitement that I join Louis Vuitton, a house I feel deeply connected to through its values of craftsmanship and travel,” she said.
Amfitheatrof previously served as chief artistic officer at Tiffany & Co from 2013 until last year, when she left the position and was succeeded by Reed Krakoff. She has also created jewelry and accessory lines for Chanel, Fendi, Marni, Alessi, and Asprey & Garrard.
